Barbara Mowat, President of
Impact Communications Ltd. and creator of the Uniquely Programs,
publisher of Home Business Report, a national publication,
co-owner of Uniquely Canada.com, a virtual store to assist
micro-entrepreneurs to access the global marketplace.

is a strategic alliance with America On-Line Canada, Royal Bank,
Canada Post and Novator Systems, launched in May 1999, as part of
the USA/Canada Womens Trade Summit.
Barbara is also a past winner of the
Canadian National Women Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for Impact
on the Local Economy. Barbara has been recognized Nationally and
Internationally as a leader in the development of small and home-based
business owners. In 1993, she received the Canadian Women Entrepreneur
of the Year Award for Impact on the Local Economy, as well as being
awarded the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of Canadian
Confederation, which recognized her significant role in the home-based
business growth phenomenon.
For the past 15 years, Barbara has
dedicated considerable time and energy to sitting on a number of
boards and committees concerned with issues of promoting small business
development and is often asked to be a key note speaker at many
National and International events dealing with local and global
small business growth and the needs of women entrepreneurs.
