Global Membership Circle for the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women
The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women was set up in 2008 in response to Cherie’s experiences meeting women around the world and the realisation that, with the right support, women can overcome the challenges they face and play an important part in the economies and societies in which they work and live.
Barbara Mowat first met Cherie as part of a Uniquely training initiative that Impact was delivering in Tanzania and Zanzibar in 2007. In 2010 Barbara was invited to be a part of the Global Membership Circle.
Quarterly meetings are held in the UK and in DC as part of a global circle of like-minded organizations who believe in investing in women entrepreneurs so they can build and expand their businesses—to benefit not only themselves but also their families and communities. |
